How to configure email sending
Configure personalized email sending using your own SMTP server or use Planeasy's default server.
Available options
You have two options for sending emails:
- Planeasy Server (recommended for beginners)
- Own SMTP Server (for advanced use)
Using Planeasy server
This is the simplest option and comes configured by default.
Advantages
- Automatic configuration
- No need for own server
- Full support from our team
How to activate
- Access Settings > Notifications
- In the Email section, keep Planeasy Server option selected
- Done! Your emails can now be sent
Configuring own SMTP server
If you prefer to use your own SMTP server (Gmail, Outlook, etc.), follow the steps below.
Required information
You will need the following data from your email provider:
- SMTP server (ex: smtp.gmail.com)
- Port (usually 587 or 465)
- User (your full email)
- Password or app password
- Security type (TLS or SSL)
Step by step configuration
- Access Settings > Notifications
- In Email section, select Own SMTP Server
- Fill in the fields with your server information
- Click Test connection to verify if it's working
- If test is successful, click Save
Configuring Gmail
To use Gmail as SMTP server:
- Enable two-step verification in your Google account
- Create a specific app password
- Use the following settings:
- Server: smtp.gmail.com
- Port: 587
- User: your@email.com
- Password: your app password
- Security: TLS
